Sejarah Vespa

Piaggio didirikan di Genoa, Italia pada tahun 1884 oleh Rinaldo Piaggio.Bisnis Rinaldo dimulai peralatan kapal. Tapi di akhir abad, Piaggio juga memproduksi Rel Kereta, Gerbong Kereta, body Truck, Mesin dan Kereta api. Pada Perang Dunia I, perusahaannya memproduksi Pesawat Terbang dan Kapal Laut. Pada tahun 1917 Piaggio membeli pabrik baru di Pisa dan 4 tahun kemudian Rinaldo mengambil alih sebuah pabrik kecil di Pontedera di daerah Tuscany Italia. Pabrik di Pontedera inilah yang mana menjadi Pusat produksi pesawat terbangnya (baling-baling, Mesin dan Pesawat) Selama Perang Dunia II, pabrik di Pontedera membuat P108 untuk mesin Pesawat dua penumpang dan Versi Pembom.

Bangkit

Enrico Piaggio mengambil alih perusahan ayahnya (Rinaldo). Enrico memutuskan untuk fokuskan perhatian perusahaannya pada masalah personal Mobility yg dibutuhkan masyarakat Italia. Kemudian bergabunglah Corradino D’Ascanio, Insinyur bidang penerbangan yang berbakat yang merancang, mengkonsep dan menerbangkan Helikopter Modern Pertamanya Piaggio. D’Ascanio membuat rancangan yang simple,ekonomis, nyaman dan juga elegan. D’Ascanio memimpikan sebuah revolusi kendaraan baru. Dengan mengambil gambaran dari tehnologi pesawat terbang, dia membayangkan sebuah kendaraan yang dibangun dengan sebuah “Monocoque” atau Unibody Steel Chassis. Garpu depan seperti Ban mendarat sebuah pesawat yang mana mudah untuk penggantian ban. Hasilnya sebuah design yg terinspirasi dari pesawat yang yang sampai saat ini berbeda dengan kendaraan yang lain. Saat melihat kendaraan itu, Enrique Piaggio berkata “ Sambra Una Vespa” ( terlihat seperti Tawon ). Frame depan dirancang untuk melindungi pengendara dari debu jalanan. Pada Akhir 1949, telah di produksi 35000 unit dan dalam 10 tahun telah memproduksi 1 Juta unit dan pada pertengahan tahun 1950, vespa telah diproduksi di German, Great Britain, Prancis, Belgia, Spanyol dan tentu di Italia. Selama tahun 1960-an dan 1970-an Vespa menjadi simbol dari revolusi gagasan pada waktu itu. Dan cerita terus berlanjut saat ini dengan model generasi baru Vespa, mempersembahkan Vespa ET2, Vespa ET4, Vespa Granturismo dan Vespa PX150. Vespa bukan hanya sekedar Scooter tapi salah satu Icon besar orang Italia.

New Found Glory

New Found Glory (formerly A New Found Glory) is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. Founding members were lead vocalist Jordan Pundik, guitarists Chad Gilbert and Steve Klein, bassist Ian Grushka and drummer Joe Moreno. Current drummer Cyrus Bolooki replaced Moreno after only a handful of shows and the lineup has since remained unchanged.^[2] Their brand of music is said to have been drawn from influences such as punk revival bands Green Day and NOFX, to hardcore acts like Hatebreed and Madball.^[3][4] The band are noted for their blend of pop melodies with the energy and fast tempos of classic punk rock.^[5] Subsequently, they are now widely regarded as a key pioneer in the fusion genre of pop punk.^{[6][7][8][9][10]} Also noted for their energetic live performances,^[11][12][13] the fivesome have garnered a devout following over the course of their career.

After releasing a home recorded EP, It's All About the Girls in 1997, the band started touring around the East Coast area and built a cult following before releasing debut album, Nothing Gold Can Stay (1999). It was distributed on independent label Eulogy Recordings and sold in excess of 300,000 copies. The following year, debut single "Hit or Miss" charted on the US Modern Rock Chart and exposed the band to a wider audience. Their subsequent three studio albums; New Found Glory (2000), Sticks and Stones (2002), and Catalyst (2004) all charted on the Billboard 200 and achieved gold certifications by the RIAA.

After a break from touring, the band worked with Thom Panunzio on their critically acclaimed fifth album, Coming Home (2006). The record drew influences from classic rock and marked a stylistic change that differed largely from their earlier material. After a spell without a contract, the band signed with independent label Bridge Nine Records and released a new EP titled, Tip of The Iceberg (2008). Their sixth and most recent studio album, Not Without a Fight (2009), was recorded and produced by Mark Hoppus before they signed with current label Epitaph Records.

Nike One Car

The purely conceptual, but nevertheless brilliant Nike ONE concept was designed in conjunction with the revered Polyphony racing game, Gran Turismo 4.
The cars design and concept technology is entirely unique and absolutely stunning. And to complete the package, Nike ONE comes complete with a history, albeit made up.

The real bit.

The Nike ONE was designed by Phil Frank and Takuya Asano. Phil Frank, also responsible for the design of the Saleen S7, led the small design team, and kept the concept true to Nike's sporting pedigree. While the shape of Nike One is taught and dynamic, the real genius lies beneath the skin.

The designers wanted to make the car an extension of the future athlete, and as such, control inputs are made through the main muscles of the legs and arms, the Nike ONE requires peak physical perfection for maximum performance. The drivers sits in a laid-out-motorcycle rider position, their feet harnessed into pedal bike like clip-on foot pegs, and their hands are connected to the vehicles CPU via non-invasive bio-ports which allow for a direct man and machine neural interface. This enables the driver to fine tune the control inputs by the power of thought. This is a concept remember.

The fictional 'history' of the Nike ONE's development is a well thought out and thoroughly entertaining story. It begins in 2012 with Nike inventing a 'Spark Suit'.

The Spark Suit was originally designed to provide resistance training to athletes by hindering movement and therefore building muscle and improve coordination. The suit used the wearers energy to provide electrical energy, energy which was initially dissipated in the form of light. Nike engineers soon realised however that this energy could be stored and used later to power electrical systems.

In a slightly implausible, but still clever future vision, the worlds population began to make all their electrical power simply by living more active lives. Obesity and ill health are all but eradicated. In this super-fit future world the Nike ONE steps in as a racing vehicle. Powered by the energy stored from the drivers activity, the Nike ONE is capable of 230 mph. Top drivers of the Nike ONE become revered and famous athletes. To compete at a high level the drivers must train vigorously to power the cars batteries and attain the stamina required to drive this 230 mph gym.
